Fort Mill | Lake Wylie Waterfront Lifestyle

Lake Wylie provides a lovely waterfront experience for locals. We love the Lake. Tega Cay, which technically is its own City, although its in the Fort Mill Zip Code and zoned for Fort Mill Schools, skirts Lake Wylie. There are several opportunities for waterfront living in the area with all the benefits of the Fort Mill Living and the Waterfront Lifestyle.

Fort Mill Open Spaces, Walking Trails and More

Anne Springs Green Way

Anne Springs is this incredible area in Fort Mill with over a 40 mile network of walking paths, recreational facilities, a camping area, lakes with canoe higher, animals, birds, horses and even cattle and so much more. There are adjacent nodules of Anne Springs that makes the area huge to explore, something to do every week end. Anne Springs Greenway has live music on the lawns at the dairy farm in the Summer and there are events going on most of the year. Its a great place for the locals to enjoy!

The River Walk

The River Walk is situated in Rock Hill just skirting the limits of Fort Mill and is a lovely place to ride your bicycle, walk or run along the banks of Catawba River. The area has solid walkways and its a beautiful area to either sit and enjoy the river, fish or paddle or simply amble along with the birds and deer. This walking trail links in with the Carolina Thread Trail which crosses 15 counties!

Walter Elisha Park

Walter Elisha Park has a walking loop around a ball area, play park and open space for summer evening theater and festivals. It forms part of a bigger trail that goes right in to Old Town Fort Mill.

Fort Mill has several local shopping centers with all the big name shopping chains and everything you need for your daily needs. There are two big shopping malls, Rock Hill Galleria close by and then South Park Shopping Mall in Sharon Road and South of Charlotte and then Carolina Place Shopping Mall in nearby Pineville.

There are many great restaurants in the Fort Mill area. Baxter Village, a beautiful area of Fort Mill has a Main Road with many amazing restaurants including Fish Market, Sixpence Pub, Fratelli's, Beef o Brady's and then there are more in other areas of Fort Mill. The Old Town of Fort Mill is the well loved restaurants, Local Dish which has a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence, The Flipside Cafe and many others. There are also all the chain restaurants too. Around Fort Mill are some more great restaurants, so a grate "date night" meal is never far away!

As you can see the Fort Mill area is a grate place to live. We have everything we need in this sought after location to enjoy life. The weather is near perfect, a little hot in the mid summer, but we have the Lake lifestyle and the summer evenings listening to music on the lawns at Anne Springs Greenways, or enjoying a meal at the street cafe's in Baxter Village. With so much to do and a short commute to Charlotte activities we are truly lucky to live her.

Its a two hour drive to the mountains and a two hour drive to Beach - we have the best of both worlds at the tip of our fingers.
