Tega Cay

The City of Tega Cay, South Carolina is
located on a peninsula in Lake Wylie,
twenty miles south of Charlotte, North
Carolina. The name Tega Cay is
Polynesian for “Beautiful Peninsula.” The
city’s slogan is “The Good Life.”

The three-square-mile city has 13 miles of
shoreline, very rugged topography, and is
densely wooded with hardwoods and tall
pines. Tega Cay is a close-knit recreational
community fueled by volunteers.
